# Update a flow

> Partially update a flow — any of `name`, `description`, `definition`, `trigger_type`, `cron_expr` / `cron_tz`, or `status`. Setting `status` to `published` runs the same structural validation as the publish endpoint (trigger node present, no delay-free cycles). Editing the `definition` of a published flow bumps its version. Requires an operator role and the `flows:write` scope.
