# Disconnect a Meta channel

> Removes the stored Facebook credentials for instagram or messenger, flips the channel's recorded connection to disconnected, and records the action in the audit log. Use it when the operator revokes access or swaps the linked Page, after which inbound webhooks for the channel stop routing until a new connect is completed.
