# Dashboard map — the top navigation and where each hub lands

> A map of the dashboard's top navigation — which sidebar hub each top-nav entry points to, which orientation guide or canonical entry page to open first, and which roles can open each hub.

# Dashboard map — the top navigation and where each hub lands

The dashboard is one operator surface with a top-nav bar and a sidebar that changes with each hub. A new operator — or an agent migrating from another platform — taps a top-nav entry and expects to know which sidebar items belong to it and which page to open first. This page maps the top navigation, links each hub to its orientation guide or canonical entry page, and calls out the role gates so you know which hubs open for your seat.

Every hub and console below is a tenant-owned control — you set it for your workspace, and nothing applies until you turn it on.

## Section 1 — The dashboard's navigation layout

The signed-in dashboard holds three regions:

1. **Top navigation bar** — the horizontal bar at the top. It carries the app logo (links to Home), the sidebar hamburger, the command palette shortcut, and the user menu (Me).
2. **Sidebar** — the vertical menu on the left. Its items change per hub — opening **Messages** swaps the sidebar to the messages-hub items (SMS, MMS, RCS, WhatsApp, and so on). The top nav names the hub; the sidebar lists the routes inside it.
3. **Main content area** — the rest of the screen. The hub you pick in the top nav decides which page lands here.

The top-nav entries are:

| Top-nav entry | Which sidebar it opens | What the hub does |
| - | - | - |
| **Home** | A flat sidebar with activity and status at-a-glance links | The first surface after sign-in — answers "is my account healthy right now?" |
| **Inbox** | The Inbox sidebar | Every omnichannel conversation in one assignable, replyable list |
| **Interactions** | The Interactions sidebar | Every voice call and messaging conversation in one recency-ordered audit log |
| **Messages** | The Messages sidebar | Compose, send, and read SMS, MMS, RCS, WhatsApp, email, fax, push, and social channels |
| **Campaigns** | The Campaigns sidebar (Outbound) | Create, launch, and measure multi-channel campaigns — the `/outbound` hub |
| **Outbound** | The Outbound sidebar (same as Campaigns) | The create-send chooser plus in-flight campaigns, audiences, templates, and goals |
| **Voice** | The Voice sidebar | The phone desk — queues, the live floor, extensions, recordings, and routing |
| **Agents** | The Agents sidebar | Build, prompt, guardrail, evaluate, and deploy AI agents |
| **Quality** | The Quality sidebar | Scorecards, QA evaluations, coaching, and a leaderboard over your agents |
| **Insights** | The Insights sidebar | Dashboards, logs, campaign analytics, attribution, and anomaly monitors |
| **Audience** | The Audience sidebar | Contacts, lists, segments, identity resolution, consent, opt-outs, and senders |
| **Marketing** | The Marketing sidebar | Wallet passes, loyalty programs, and referral programs |
| **Numbers** | The Numbers sidebar | Buy, port, configure, and release phone numbers |
| **Developer** | The Developer sidebar | API keys, webhooks, SDK docs, the API playground, and request logs |
| **Billing** | The Billing sidebar | Wallet balance, top-ups, usage records, invoices, and spend controls |
| **Settings** | The Settings sidebar | Organization profile, teams, security, compliance posture, data retention, branding |
| **Me** | The Me sidebar (user-menu flyout) | Your profile, voice preferences, scorecard, and notification settings |

The **Notifications bell** and **command palette** (Cmd-K) sit in the top bar to the right of the hub entries; they are always reachable regardless of which hub is open.

## Section 2 — Hubs with an orientation guide

Four hubs have orientation guides that walk every tile on the hub. Open these first:

| Hub | Orientation guide | What it covers |
| - | - | - |
| **Messages** | [Messages hub orientation](/guides/messages-hub-orientation) | Every channel console, the cross-channel tables (templates, batch, scheduled, delivery log, blocklist, landing pages, feedback), and the rail-level surfaces underneath them |
| **Outbound** | [Outbound hub orientation](/guides/outbound-hub-orientation) | The create-send chooser, the 30-day performance strip, the in-flight campaigns table, the deep-link grid to Audiences, Templates, Goals, and AI Studio, and the attention row |
| **Audience** | [Audience hub orientation](/guides/audience-hub-orientation) | Contacts, Lists, Segments, Identity resolution, Merge, Consent, Opt-outs, Senders, Imports, Accounts, Predictive models, and Activation — plus the suggested rollout order and permission bands |
| **Voice** | [Voice hub orientation](/guides/voice-hub-orientation) | The supervisor floor, calling surfaces, queue routing, evaluation, and workforce consoles — organized in four rows |

Each orientation guide answers the question every operator asks on a first visit: *which tile do I start on?* They link the in-depth guides and concept pages behind every console, so you do not need to open the per-feature docs to find the right page.

## Section 3 — Hubs without an orientation guide

These hubs have a canonical entry page or a hub map instead of a full orientation guide. Open the listed page first.

### Home

The Home page (`/home`) is the first surface after sign-in. Two guides cover it:

* [Navigate the dashboard Home page](/guides/dashboard-home-overview) — a high-level orientation: what the greeting strip, bento metric tiles, channel-health track, banners, and Quick Actions each answer, and how white-label domains resolve after sign-in.
* [Read the dashboard Home page](/guides/dashboard-home) — a widget-by-widget walkthrough with the API endpoint each widget reads and the fetch-layer behavior.

### Inbox

The Inbox hub (`/inbox`) holds every omnichannel conversation — SMS, WhatsApp, email, voice transcripts, and social messages — in one assignable, replyable list. Its settings surface has twelve operator consoles.

* Start with the [Inbox settings map](/inbox/settings-map) — it names every console, what it controls, and which symptom-to-console path to follow when something is not working.
* For the agent-facing Inbox itself (the reply surface), open [Inbox setup](/guides/inbox-setup).

### Interactions

The Interactions hub (`/interactions`) is the cross-channel audit log — every voice call and messaging conversation in one recency-ordered list with asymmetric search-vs-export permission gates.

* Start with the [Interactions hub walkthrough](/guides/interactions-hub).

### Campaigns

The Campaigns top-nav entry opens the same `/outbound` hub as the Outbound entry. The [Outbound hub orientation](/guides/outbound-hub-orientation) covers both. For the first campaign, open [Campaigns end-to-end](/guides/campaign-end-to-end).

### Agents

The Agents hub (`/agents`) is the full AI-agent lifecycle surface — create, prompt, guardrail, evaluate, deploy, and monitor.

* Start with [AI agents on Orbit: build, deploy, and monitor](/agents/overview).

### Quality

The Quality hub (`/quality`) holds scorecards, QA evaluations, coaching, and the performance leaderboard over your agents.

* Start with the [Quality hub overview](/guides/quality-hub-overview) — it maps the hub's sections and the supervisor loop (review, calibrate, coach).

### Insights

The Insights hub (`/insights`) is a grid of roughly thirty-five analytics tiles.

* The [Insights hub map](/insights/hub-map) is the fast index — one line per tile with the question it answers and when to open it.
* The [Insights hub overview](/insights/overview) walks the same grid top to bottom with worked examples.

### Marketing

The Marketing hub (`/marketing`) groups wallet passes, loyalty programs, and referral programs.

* Start with the [Marketing hub console map](/guides/marketing-hub-consoles) — it names each console, what it answers, and the rollout order.

### Numbers

The Numbers hub (`/numbers`) covers purchase, port, configure, and release of phone numbers.

* Start with [Numbers overview](/numbers/overview).

### Developer

The Developer hub (`/developer`) holds API keys, webhooks, SDK docs, the API playground, and request logs.

* Start with [Developer console overview](/developer/overview).

### Billing

The Billing hub (`/billing`) holds wallet balance, top-ups, usage records, invoices, and spend controls.

* Start with [Billing overview](/billing/overview).

### Settings

The Settings hub (`/settings`) holds organization profile, teams, security, compliance posture, data retention, and branding. It is the broadest hub and does not yet have a single entry page — open the console that matches your task:

* Organization profile and business hours: [Organization general settings](/guides/organization-general-settings)
* Teams and seat quotas: [Team management](/guides/organization-team-management) and [team seat quotas](/guides/team-seat-quota-operations)
* Security and API keys: [Security console](/guides/settings-security-console)
* Compliance posture: [Compliance hub navigation](/guides/compliance-hub-navigation)
* Data retention: [Data retention settings](/guides/settings-data-retention)
* Branding and white-label: [Branding console](/guides/branding-console-white-label)

### Me

The Me flyout (user menu in the top bar) carries your profile, voice preferences, scorecard, and notification settings.

* Start with [Me profile and voice settings](/guides/me-profile-and-voice) for your personal configuration.
* For your QA scorecard: [My scorecard](/me/scorecard).

## Section 4 — Scope and permissions

The top-nav bar shows every hub entry, but the role gate on each hub's destination route decides whether a hub opens for your seat. Tapping a gated hub when your role is below the floor shows a forbidden page (403). The sidebar hides tiles that the destination route would reject, but the top-nav entries are always visible — this is a navigation aid, not a permission list.

| Hub | Minimum role to open | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| **Home** | Any authenticated seat | The greeting strip and Quick Actions adapt per role; the Spend Forecast tile hides for non-billing seats |
| **Inbox** | `agent` (level 10) | The reply surface opens for agents and above; supervisors see team views |
| **Interactions** | `viewer` (level 20) | Search is viewer-readable; CSV export gates higher (owner/admin/developer + `contacts:read`) |
| **Messages** | `developer` (level 60) | Compose, send, and channel config are developer-gated; viewers see read-only channel status |
| **Campaigns / Outbound** | `marketer` (level 13) | Campaign create/edit gates at marketer and above |
| **Voice** | `agent` (level 10) | Agent-seated users open the agent console; supervisors open the live floor; admins open routing and extensions |
| **Agents** | `developer` (level 60) | Agent creation, prompt editing, and deployment are developer-gated |
| **Quality** | `supervisor` (level 15) | The leaderboard and QA evaluations open for supervisors and above |
| **Insights** | `viewer` (level 20) | Dashboard and log viewers are viewer-readable; billing-gated tiles (spend, costs) open for billing-seated roles only |
| **Audience** | `viewer` (level 20) | Contacts and lists are viewer-readable; PII surfaces (Segments, Identity resolution, Merge) gate at owner/admin/developer |
| **Marketing** | `marketer` (level 13) | Wallet passes, loyalty, and referrals open for marketer and above |
| **Numbers** | `developer` (level 60) | Purchase, port, and release are developer-gated |
| **Developer** | `developer` (level 60) | API keys, webhooks, and the playground are developer-gated |
| **Billing** | `billing` (level 40) | The billing hub is orthogonal — billing-seated users see it, non-billing seats do not |
| **Settings** | `admin` (level 80) | Organization, security, and compliance settings are admin-gated; branding is owner/admin/developer |
| **Me** | Any authenticated seat | Profile and notification settings open for all seats |

The role levels follow the [Roles, teams, and permissions](/concepts/roles-teams-permissions) hierarchy: `owner` (100), `admin` (80), `developer` (60), `billing` (40), `viewer` (20), `supervisor` (15), `marketer` (13), `analyst` (12), `agent` (10), `user` (5). A route that gates on one role admits every role at or above that level — with the exception that billing is an orthogonal role that does not inherit and is not inherited by the hierarchy.
