Tokenizes up to 100 { type, value, mode? } items. Each value is canonicalized for its type and mapped to a deterministic, tenant-scoped token, so the same value always yields the same token for a tenant — records for one person stay joinable downstream without cleartext PII travelling with them. mode defaults to the type’s effective policy mode (reversible → a deterministic encrypted token detokenize can reverse; hash → an irreversible HMAC pseudonym); a per-item override may be requested. The cleartext is never echoed back; items that canonicalize to empty are reported per-item with an error code. Owner / admin / developer with the contacts:read scope.
